Alive with Clive Announces The Creation Of A New AWC-MVP Designation

To boost awareness of the singer-songwriters who appear on Alive with Clive -- en route to creating synergies between companies, singer-songwriters and charities -- Alive with Clive has created the new designation for guests on shows seen the most

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. - June 18, 2014 - PRLog -- To quote Wikipedia, “in sports, a most valuable player (MVP) award is an honor typically bestowed upon the best-performing player or players on a specific team, in an entire league, or for a particular contest or series of contests. Initially used in professional sports, the term is now also commonly used in amateur sports, as well as in other completely unrelated fields of endeavor such as business and music.”  From now on, for Alive with Clive, the term MVP stands for Most Vimeo Plays, and the designation AWC-MVP will be awarded to the singer-songwriter or band whose show on Alive with Clive sets a new record for the number of plays recorded on Vimeo during the five-week period the show is available for viewing on Vimeo through a link from the Home Page of the Web site for Alive with Clive.

As a result of the recent revamping of www.alivewithclive.tv, the use of a sophisticated theme for the Web site, and the posting of Alive with Clive shows on Vimeo to enable viewers from all over the world to see them on any device, Alive with Clive is now making each show available for five weeks rather than one, and so each guest featured on the show now has the opportunity over a five-week period to encourage fans to see his or her (or the band’s) show and thus enable him or her (or the band) to receive the designation AWC-MVP.

“I’m delighted and proud to feature today’s top singer-songwriters on Alive with Clive every week,” says Clive Swersky, Host and Producer of the show, “and I predict that this new AWC-MVP designation will generate a lot of excitement, interest and buzz for guests who appear on Alive with Clive in the weeks ahead.”

Since shows from Alive with Clive first began to appear on Vimeo in the middle of March, 2014, Mark Farmer, who has just released his new record, Left Side of the Stage, overtook Chris J. Connolly, the guest who previously had the most plays, and Mark raised the bar to 64 plays.  Recently, though, Mark was overtaken by Worthy Fools, which currently has 97 plays and will probably be the first guest to exceed 100 plays on Vimeo during its five-week run.

Worthy Fools is thus the first guest to receive the designation AWC-MVP, and it will be the first band to occupy a new Web page on www.alivewithclive.tv created specially for guests who've received the distinction of being an AWC-MVP.

From now on, a link to the video of the show or Web site of the guest that receives the most plays will be placed in the right-hand column of the Home Page of the Web site for Alive with Clive to acknowledge the guest that is the current holder of the designation AWC-MVP.
