The Singing Ambassadors Return to Toronto's Waterfront this Summer!

By: Waterfront BIA

TORONTO - June 18, 2014 - PRLog -- The Singing Ambassadors presented by The Waterfront BIA return to Toronto’s Waterfront this summer offering assistance, directions and recommendations to visitors! These eight lively ambassadors perform impromptu a cappella renditions of classic summer hits on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from 11am to 6pm until September 1. Visit www.waterfrontbia.com for more information.

The Singing Ambassadors features John Paulo Amor, Samantha Bielanski, Allen Chien, Dominic Ebona, Dianne Oliveira, Peter Raimondo, Beth Robertson and Sheree Spencer. Their repertoire features ten a cappella summertime favourites which they will perform in key locations and busy daytime spots along the Waterfront. Each song has been arranged as full and 1.5 minute songs by internationally-published com¬poser, arranger and per¬former Aaron Jensen.

Wearing The Waterfront BIA branded polo shirts, windbreakers, back packs, umbrellas and patterned fedoras, the Singing Ambassadors will be easy to spot as they approach visitors along the Waterfront to answer questions, offer assistance, provide directions to particular destinations or activities and offer restaurant recommendations. The Singing Ambassadors will also distribute Waterfront Savings Cards, maps and brochures featuring key Waterfront activities, and keep both Torontonians and tourists well-informed of all that the Waterfront has to offer.

Songs for the summer season include: Happy by Pharrell Wiliams; On Top of the World by Imagine Dragons; Fun, Fun, Fun, I Get Around and Barbara Ann by the Beach Boys; Under the Boardwalk by The Drifters; Saturday in the Park by Chicago; I Can See Clearly Now, the Rain is Gone by Johnny Nash; Good Day Sunshine by the Beatles and Dancing in the Street by Martha and the Vandellas.

The Waterfront Singing Ambassadors are part of an overall strategy to make the Toronto Waterfront a welcoming destination for tourists and locals in Toronto this summer. The program is also made possible with assistance from Ontario’s Summer Jobs Service and Waterfront Toronto.
