“Families in need have continued to increase, due to the current economic climate in our community,” said Thompson. She concludes that their program fills a need to continue to help children with supplies for the first part of the year. It is important to make sure that all children are equally prepared with the necessary supplies at the beginning of school.” Thompson said. Last year, they provided book bags and supplies for over 700 children from Pre-K--grade 12.
