By: Ovarian Cancer Symptom Awareness organization Event co-chairs, Dr. Cindy Charlier and Dr. Kurt Klepitsch are coordinating the charity golf tournament to raise much-needed funding to expand the unique awareness program OCSA has developed, the Veterinary Outreach Program (VOP), with key partners in the veterinary community, the Illinois Health Department and the One Health Commission. Statistics show that ovarian cancer is diagnosed in one of every 55 women and is the number one gynecologic cancer killer. More than 22,000 women are diagnosed with this cancer every year. The fun filled day will include lunch and dinner as well as Krank It Hole’s $100,000 shoot out and $5,000 putting green competitions plus Krank Driver contests, unique at-the-hole entertainment including spirits tasting with Blaum Bros. Distilling Co. and raffles for signed sports memorabilia provided by Auction Merchandise Source. The silent and live auctions in the evening include luxury travel packages, original art, dining packages from Chicagoland restaurants Ovie Bar & Grill, Cyrano’s Farm Kitchen and more.
