Born Elaine Joplin, into a long continuing bloodline of singers, songwriters & musicians dating all the way back to Scott Joplin's world renown ragtime hit the "Entertainer" or Janis Joplin's rock jams.

E'ssential began her humble beginnings at St. Matthews CME Church, where she was a director of the youth choir as well as a member of her high school's True Praise Youth Chorale. She then went on to become a member of the nationally recorded female gospel trio "New Artists of Tomorrow", now known as "3n1". Since her start, E'ssential has sung with and opened for many great artists both local & international. She has opened for artists like Anthony Hamilton, Jill Scott, M.C. Lyte, LL Cool J, Mary Mary, Dawkins & Dawkins, Trinitee 5:7, and the list continues...

She has also graced some of the most renowned performing stages such as Summer Fest, Bastille Days, and this year performing at the Juneteenth Day Celebration on the Jammin 98.3 FM stage in her hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She has performed at countless private galas & events as well. E’ssential has also been featured in the jazz/funk band The Terry Sims Band & the R&B contemporary band known as K.I.C.

E'ssential is also currently the CEO of her very own record label, E'ssential Music Entertainment, where she continues to write & provide lessons as a vocal coach, and produce countless projects for others and herself as well under E’ssential Music Publishing.

Recently releasing her latest smash single “Zero Pursuit” written by E'ssential produced by AUDIOADDIX 40 MIL, Dj Pay Day, and mixed and mastered by Grammy Nominated Producer Chad C-Note Roper. This composition, is a message to the fellas, but easily received so anyone can relate to it. This single is quickly gaining International support in the United States as well as countries like Japan, London England, Australia, and throughout the UK coming in at #14 on the Breaking Artist Charts in the UK and circulating fast.
