In the segment, “Pool Salt for a Clean and Refreshing Swim”, Emily Arthursfrom Morton Salt, Inc. offers solutions on how to eliminate harsh pool chlorination in this “All Around the House” series

(Pompano Beach, FL – PR LOG – June 17, 2014) Morton Salt, Inc. will be featured on the award-winning home improvement show Designing Spaces™ on the Lifetime Channel on Wednesday, June 18 at 7:30 am (ET/PT) to talk salt water pool systems just in time for summer’s swim season.  This show will re-air on Friday, July 18 at 7:30 am (ET/PT) on Lifetime.

Emily Arthurs from Morton Salt returns to the show for this second segment in a miniseries sponsored by the well-known company. In the episode “Pool Salt for a Clean and Refreshing Swim”, viewers will learn about solutions for eliminating harsh pool chlorination through a salt water pool system which uses Morton® Pool Salt.

Arthurs will explain how in traditional chlorine pools, the pool owner manually adds granulated or liquid chlorine to the water.  Saltwater pools still maintain a level of chlorine, except they use a salt chlorine generator to produce their own “free” chlorine, which destroys chloramines responsible for chlorine odor, red-irritated eyes, bleached green hair and aging to bathing suit fabric, but it still is effective against bacteria, algae, ammonia and other organic matter.
