Vikas Khanna is one of the most popular Indian Chefs in the world. His inspiration for cooking came from his grandmother, whom he observed in the kitchen. Ever since then he has been passionate about cooking and learnt the art of cooking. At the age of 17 he was up and running Lawrence Gardens Banquets which hosted weddings and family functions. Later, in 1991 he joined Welcome group Graduate School of Hotel Administration and founded SAANCH which was a cultural festival gala for bringing together the foods and tradition from various parts of India. He has worked for prestigious names in the hotel industry like Taj, Oberoi, Welcome group, and Leela Group of Hotels.
He opened up a restaurant in New York called Junoon. He became the host for the popular cooking show 'Master Chef India' and he has also been awarded with Michelin Starred Indian Chef. However, he is also known worldwide as a food writer, film-maker, and humanitarian. 'My Great India Cookbook' is his latest offering for the foodie buffs.
