Adoption of Public Cloud services such as Office 365, the huge growth of unstructured data, and the business efficiencies of collaboration are major shifts in enterprise IT that create new and unique security challenges. While Cloud Service Providers such as Microsoft have solid network security and mature internal security programs, there are significant new vulnerabilities that arise when storing sensitive enterprise data in platforms that are entirely accessed and managed via the public Internet. In this session we will discuss the security advantages of services such as Office 365 as well as the risks and the best practices to address them. We will explain the difference between governance and security and cover customer security architectures for hybrid enterprise and public/private Cloud environments.
