Northwest Alabama Music Publishing International awards Brian L Wells Recording Artist of the Decade

LEXINGTON, Ala. - June 17, 2014 - PRLog -- VIP Songwriters Hall of Fame Museums Art, Culture and History Council recognized Brian L. Wells as the class of 2014, Recording Artist of the Decade for the Northwest Alabama Music Publishing International. His latest original release “GPS Directions to My Heart”, a song about getting a second chance for love, was awarded first place in Country music for the 2014 Songwriter category. He has also been nominated for induction in the Singers and Songwriters Class of 2015 for the VIP-Hall of Fame Museum.

Darrell and Kim Glover, owners of the Northwest Alabama Music Publishing Company conferred the awards and recognition during Brian’s appearance at the VIP- Singers and Songwriters Hall of Fame Museum Induction Event in Lexington Alabama on May 31, 2014.  The event included jam sessions, concerts and interviews for radio with Kim Glover, host of "Kim's World of Talent" which airs on WALW FM 98.3 from Moulton AL Saturday nights at 9:30PM.

Brian has been singing and performing in live concerts and theater productions on the East Coast since 1988.  The current award for “GPS Directions to My Heart” adds to a growing recognition for many of his original songs. "Hold Me Close While We Dance", won #1 love song competition at the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. "This Is Our Great Country" was a Semi-Finalist landing in the top 10, and "Brother How I Miss You" won Suggested Artist Honors in the top 25 for Country category from among 15,000 worldwide entrees in the International Song of the Year Contest and “I’ll Follow His Light” placed in the top 15 for the Christian music category. His latest release, “GPS Directions to My Heart” continues to gain fans worldwide.
