This grant allows Wellspring to offer mental health counseling to any resident of Southbury who does not have insurance or cannot afford their co-pays. The money is earmarked to provide services for individuals and families who are uninsured or underinsured and in need of counseling.
In 2013, Wellspring Counseling Centers provided 6,100 sessions to the community – over 500 children, families and individuals. Wellspring Counseling Centers has two locations, at 21 Arch Bridge Road, Bethlehem and at 850 Straits Turnpike Middlebury, to offer outpatient services for children, adolescents, adults and families.
With a clinical team that includes over 15 master’s level clinicians and two board-certified psychiatrists, the Wellspring Counseling Center is positioned to meet the needs of the surrounding communities. They help clients facing emotional and psychological issues such as anxiety, depression and mood disorders, stress and adjustment issues, interpersonal relationships, and working through trauma and loss.
