Marmalade’s research also found that 42% of young drivers are planning to drive themselves to see the games whilst 37% will be getting a lift. From those being driven, nearly a third (33%) will be passengers of a friend under 25 and almost double that (63%) will be driven by a relative over the age of 25. However, when asked if their driver is likely to have a drink, the answer was still a resounding no - with 94% stating that they do not expect their driver to have an alcoholic drink.
