The Lupus Foundation of America and LifeVision Enrichment Network, Inc. are committed solely to providing education, raising awareness and support to lupus patients and their families. Lupus—systemic lupus erythematosus (S.L.E.)—is a chronic and often disabling autoimmune disease that is difficult to diagnose. The health effects of Lupus range from mid-life threatening and the disease vacillates between periods of increased activity called flares and periods of remission. More than 1.5 million Americans and millions more worldwide, have lupus. Most are young women of childbearing age who suffer from such symptoms as intense fatigue and exhaustion, joint pains, thinking and memory problems, and skin rashes. Men, children, and older women get lupus too.
Our hopes are to build a successful Gala with a night of more than 200+ attendees and raised more than $50,000 for the organizations. By presenting the 2nd Annual Faces of Lupus Benefit Gala we hope to educate and unveil some of the symptoms and traits that are often overlooked in Lupus patients and create strength in numbers so that more people are aware of the condition while gaining public support in finding a cure. Gala portion of proceeds to benefit the Lupus Foundation of America, LifeVision Enrichment Network and to fuel efforts to support, educate and advocate for lupus patients and their families in Birmingham, AL.
LifeVision Enrichment Network, Inc. also organizes educational meetings and seminars where people, medical and professional resource people discuss all aspects of lupus including new trends in research. We are forcefully advancing toward a cure for lupus organization raising funds & public awareness.
