Surfancy brings any surface to “life” at the Glazed Conference 2014

June 13, 2014 - PRLog -- The crowd that visited Surfancy’s demo booth was intrigued by the technology that enables users to convert any surface into an “interactive surface” (http://www.getsurfancy.com/): walls, tables, floors, both indoor and outdoor. The technology has shocked and amused the attendees to the conference introducing a one-of-a-kind solution that extends the benefits of the touch screen to every available surface with almost no size limitation. Another characteristic that has set Surfancy apart was the fact that the two bars that create the interactive space on any surface, are wireless and portable as they are extremely light and thin; this enables users to interact with smart surfaces on-the-go, practically anywhere.

Attendees at the conference were amazed by the technology (http://youtu.be/YNfmAtYVnck) and by all the possible applications that Surfancy could have in the near future, ranging from smart office/home solutions, to interactive games, educational surfaces for kids, wall-size musical instruments, and more. For Jessie, one of the attendees who stopped by the booth, Surfancy is “incredible… Totally different from anything I have ever seen. I already thought about four or five things this could be used for. Music for sure.”

After the success of the Glazed Conference, the Surfancy team has announced that they will launch a Kickstarter campaign in the near future, to accelerate the mass production of the hardware and generate awareness around Surfancy. The team has already created several mobile apps to make the product even more appealing for the mass market, while reaching out to developers in the Bay Area and around the world to get them involved and collaborate with Surfancy to create revolutionary apps together.
