Lord Neil Benjamin Gibson's "Right To Be Forgotten"

LAS VEGAS - June 13, 2014 - PRLog -- Lord Neil Benjamin Gibson is an international business man who has a problem.  He was attacked years ago by an internet campaign desigend to slander him through a series of malicious websites that posted untrue information, thus potentially comprmising business partnerships that may have been created through trust.  Potential partners in business deals would Google "Lord Neil Benjamin Gibson" to get a general sense as far as what news might be available about Gibson, only to find a series of website postings that appeared quite negative, mixed alongside true information.  This issue of false information being spread was solved through legal actions acainst the website creator, however a few websites were not able to be taken down due to the fact that the authorship of the sites was not able to be proven.  They were built on Google's blogspot platform, which allows anonymous authorship and protects the author from being exposed.  These websites were not able to be removed by legal means, and continue to be alive today.

Google recently lost a case in the UK called "the right to be forgotten" in which a judge has ordered that irrelevant and untrue information about a citizen of the UK must be removed from the index if it is requested.  Within the fitst month, more than 41,000 petitions were filed to have information removed, and Lord Neil Gibson also filed for the same.  At the present time, there has been no removal of the websites by Google, who have stated that the backlog of work will make the process lengthy.  Although citizens have followed the requested procedure and completed the steps requested, there is still no timeframe that can be expected for the requests to be reviewed.  Lord Neil Benjamin Gibson currently is awaiting his review and Google's decision.
