These beloved creatures are one of the best recognized, but least researched large animals in Africa. Only 4,700 reticulated giraffe still exist in the wild, a drastic reduction from the 28,000 that thrived in 1998. These numbers continue to decrease every year. The number of giraffe as a whole species have plummeted down over 40% just since the late 1990s, and they are already extinct in seven African countries. Learn more: www.giraffeconservation.org/
