New "Travel with Dawn" TV series on South Africa

TORONTO, CANADA | MENDHAM, NJ – 12 June 2014 - A new internet travel video series of “Travel with Dawn” presented in International Sign with English subtitles focusing on South Africa premiered June 8th on the H3.tv website.

Dawn Jani Birley hosts this 8-part series which took place seven weeks prior to the World Federation of the Deaf World Congress in Durban, South Africa. Birley teamed up with Darren Frazier who was videographer. “We covered South Africa, Swaziland and Lesotho,” Birley elaborates, “We wanted to show the true beauty and diversity of Africa through their culture(s), adventures, animals, people and history. With International Sign, we hoped to bring Africa to our viewers through a traveler’s perspective.”

This new “Travel with Dawn” series was produced by H3 Network Media Alliance who will show each episode for one month on H3.tv starting June 8th. This informative and colorful series are intended to accommodate 70 million viewers who are Deaf according to the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD). The English subtitles are for benefit of mainstream viewers who are not familiar with sign language.
