Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center Opens the First Centra Care in Volusia County

PORT ORANGE, Fla. - June 13, 2014 - PRLog -- On June 12, Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center officially opened Volusia County’s first Florida Hospital Centra Care.

Located in Port Orange at 1208 Dunlawton Avenue, this is the 25th Florida Hospital Centra Care in Florida. Hundreds stopped by the event to tour the new facility, meet the physicians, and receive free health screenings. In addition, there were activities for the kids including a water slide, face painting and sno-cones.

At the end of the event, the Port Orange-South Daytona Chamber of Commerce and Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce joined Florida Hospital for an official ribbon-cutting.

Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center’s Port Orange Centra Care is now seeing patients and us open weekdays, 8am – 8pm; and weekends, 8am – 5pm.

Volusia County’s second Centra Care location will be coming soon. In August, construction will begin on another Florida Hospital Centra Care clinic in Daytona Beach, near the Burlington Coat Factory store at the intersection of International Speedway Boulevard and Nova Road.

Florida Hospital Centra Care is central Florida’s only hospital-affiliated urgent care provider that promises to always have a physician on-site. From coughs, colds, infections, allergies and flu, to broken bones and other orthopedic conditions, Centra Care’s team of board certified, adult and pediatric-trained doctors, are available for families every day of the week.

Because time is valuable, Centra Care offers an online, no wait reservations system, to schedule to see a doctor when it’s convenient. But, because they understand injuries and illnesses can happen at the most unexpected moments, walk-ins are always welcome.
