SGS Shares Expert Knowledge On Effective Energy Management

June 13, 2014 - PRLog -- “Implementing a robust Energy Management System to the requirements of ISO 50001 can improve energy performance, reduce costs and help meet ESOS requirements,” says Terry Coyle, Product Manager for ISO 50001 (Energy Management Systems), SGS United Kingdom Ltd.

He will develop this theme during his presentation at the Energy & Environment Expo, part of UBM Live’s Protection & Management Series, at ExCel in London, on Thursday 19 June 2014. The seminar sessions are aimed at facilities managers and environmental management professionals to help them effectively manage their organisation’s energy usage.

Mr Coyle has gained significant knowledge and experience in energy management systems as an ISO 50001 Lead Auditor for SGS, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company. In the UK, SGS has worked with leading organisations across a broad spectrum of industries such as Coca-Cola Enterprises,, Belfast Metropolitan College, GVA, Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains Ltd, EMCOR Facilities Services Limited and National Grid –Isle of Grain LNG Terminal.

SGS will be exhibiting at the Facilities Show, another part of the Protection and Management Series, which also includes a Safety & Health Expo and Firex, at ExCel from 17–19 June 2014.

Visitors to the SGS Stand (U1580) are invited to speak to one of the many SGS experts who will be present or they can use the app, available on the stand, to tell SGS “What is driving you nuts?” in day-to-day business activities.

Not only will SGS come up with an answer or solution, the visitors will also be entered into a prize draw to win an ihelicopter with integrated camera. The helicopter, piloted from the ground, films or takes pictures from a bird’s-eye view, with images saved straight to the onboard memory card.
