- Becoming One Community is sponsoring the “Working through the No’s” event on July 21, 2014. Being held at the Third Ward Multi-Service Community Center on 3611 Ennis Street in Houston, Texas, “Working Through the No’s’ is a free job search preparation workshop for ex-offenders This workshop , which is being held from 10 am to 4 pm, will provide skills and tips to be used in searching for a job as an ex-offender.
“Education leads to empowerment”
says the founder of Becoming One Community, James E Davis Jr. This workshop is an introduction into Becoming One Community’s comprehensive job search preparation program. During this empowering event, the following topics will be covered: discovering the participant’
s skills set; completing the job application;
creating a targeted resume; interviewing for the position; dressing for the interview, and becoming a model employee.
