MWAH Bournemouth of Westbourne, Dorset, Owner Simone Thomas Announced As Winner of The NatWest Venus Award For Marketing & PR At The Prestigious Event Held At The Lighthouse Poole on Wednesday 11th June 2014

June 12, 2014 - PRLog -- The prestigious and much sought after NatWest Venus Awards Dorset Ceremony in association with Breeze Volkswagen was held on the 11th June – Hosted at the state of the art Lighthouse in Poole, Dorset. The Lighthouse Poole is a source of inspiration and pride to the community and wider region. They are the centre of artistic excellence for live events, film and visual art and was a fantastic backdrop to host this years prestigious event.

Following thousands of votes over the last few months, over 2000 nominations and applications and a mixture of anticipation and excitement, the Dorset Venus Business Women Awards announced the 2014 winners at The Lighthouse Poole on 11th June. The glamorous and glitzy event was hosted by Dan Mills from Heart Radio and Tara Howard, The Venus Awards Founder.

The evening was a huge success with over 250 glamorous and colourful local businesswomen (and some equally dashing men) which culminated in a delightful 3 course meal and live entertainment supplied by the fantastic Street Dance group DFA (Dance Four All) . There were so many Inspiring women who really deserved these awards. Not everyone can be a winner, but all finalists in all the categories were winners in our eyes! Simone Thomas of MWAH Bournemouth was left speechless when it was announced that she had won the surprise category of Marketing & PR. MWAH Bournemouth is just about to celebrate its 2nd birthday next week. Simone said "What a fantastic slighly early birthday present for MWAH. It makes all the late nights and long days seem worth it to be recognised as a worthy winner of this award. I cannot stress enought the importance of shouting from the rooftops in terms of marketing and PR about your businessess. You can have the best products or service but if noone knows you are there you dont have a hope of making a successful business. Always look at Marketing, PR and Advertising as an investment not a cost then you wont go wrong! I am humbled to have been recognised for this award, and thank my team and all those around me for their support, advice and help along the way!"
