Leotek Appoints Chris Nye as General Manager

June 11, 2014 - PRLog -- San Jose, CA--- Leotek, an industry leader in LED traffic signals, street lighting and area lighting has appointed Chris Nye as General Manager responsible for their business in the western hemisphere.  Chris will be located in their San Jose, CA facility and report directly to David Yeh, Company President based in Lung-Tan, Taiwan.

“Chris was chiefly responsible for developing our street and area lighting business which has been our fastest growing sector,” noted David Yeh. “We expect continued double-digit growth in this area as well as in our commercial and traffic business. We are confident that Chris is the right person to lead us forward and fully capitalize on our new U.S.-based assembly operation in San Jose. Now 100% of our street and area lighting products sold in the United States are proudly labeled ‘Assembled in USA.’ This operation has also substantially improved our average order lead time to below two weeks.”

Chris joined Leotek in 2008 and for the last three years has served as their Vice President of Sales and Marketing for U.S. Commercial and Industrial Products. Prior to joining Leotek, he served in numerous sales and marketing positions for Prescolite, Gardco and Holophane Lighting. He holds a BS degree from San Francisco State University and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.
