Ferris grew up in and around New Cumberland where he still lives with his fiancé Christina and son Eli, and is active in the community. He also cofounded the annual Jersey Mike Rock + Run 5k fundraiser, which benefits children who have lost a parent. He continues to operate it with his charity running group RunPositive. Other interests include watching (and playing) live music, running, kayaking, and rooting for the underdog.
