Capitol City Brewing Company Introduces World Cup Specials at Shirlington Village Location

ARLINGTON, Va. - June 11, 2014 - PRLog -- Celebrate the World Cup international soccer games without having to hop on the next plane to Brazil. Capitol City Brewing Company is introducing six original cocktails and five global food specials at its Shirlington Village location beginning Thursday, June 12. The menus will be themed to match different teams competing for the coveted FIFA World Cup Trophy. All food items and cocktails will be available throughout the tournament, which concludes Sunday, July 13, and will include:

·      Sangria Roja (Spain) – Malbec, Absolut Citrus vodka topped with fresh lemon, lime and orange juice ($10)

·      Caipirnha (Brazil) –Cachaça, muddled lime and simple syrup topped with soda water ($10)

·      Chocolate Cake (Italy) – Frangelico, Absolut Citrus Vodka and lemon juice served in a sugar rimmed martini glass ($10)

·      Le Fizz (France) – Grey Goose Vodka, St. Germain, lime juice and soda water ($10)

·      Paloma (Mexico) – Milagro tequila, fresh orange and grapefruit juice, agave nectar, soda water and lime juice ($10)

·      The Guard (England) – Beefeater Gin and Créme de Cassis topped off with sour mix ($10)

The festive food menu will consist of: brat sub (Germany), pork dumplings (Japan), Capitol City’s popular buffalo wings (USA), taco salad (Mexico) and choripan, an Argentinian-inspired dish made with grilled spicy sausage drizzled in olive oil and finished with a homemade chimichurri sauce served in a toasted roll.
