Google Voice Stays Free But VOIP Is A $15 Billion Industry

Sterling and Bond - One Royal Exchange Avenue, London, EC3V 3LT - +44 (0)846 564 2398

PRLog - Jun. 11, 2014 - ISLINGTON, U.K. -- VOIPTEL is the trading name for VOIPTEL International which is an international trading company specialising in airtime or VOIP (voice over Internet protocol). VOIP is a heavily traded commodity and VOIPTEL has been trading Airtime since 2008. Due to the consistent returns earned by our corporate customers we decided to enter the private client market in January 2013 offering a similarly structured product to the one which our corporates enjoyed.

Since the Private Client Option was introduced we have traded over 150m with returns ranging from 7-14% and with both capital and returns backed by Bank Letter of Credit. VOIPTEL has utilized the above process to establish an investment suitable to private investors. The opportunity allows the investor to purchase airtime in their own name and their investment and return is backed by a Bank Letter of Credit. A Bank Letter of Credit guarantees the return of the investor's capital plus return and can be called upon if the corporate defaults on its obligation.

What is Airtime?
Airtime is the actual time spent talking on a mobile phone or on the internet. This is the time measured by mobile phone operators (or via internet providers) when they calculate your bill. It is typically measured in minutes for voice calls. The price of VoIP airtime varies from route to route depending on the country where air time minutes are being terminated, hence a British mobile phone user will be charged significantly more per minute when using their phone abroad.

VoIP airtime can be bought and pre-sold to operators at a profit dependent on the sellers buying power, i.e. a mobile phone provider will purchase bulk minutes from VOIPTEL, the mobile provider will then agree a pre-purchase order by providing an irrevocable letter of credit stating a set date with respect to payment.

VOIPTEL can determine the exact date that all airtime trades complete, which allows VOIPTEL to focus on expanding their buying power via the retail client. The focus for VOIPTEL is to increase buying power and then in turn look to reduce the purchase price and allow a larger percentage gain to be passed on to the retail client. VOIPTEL solely focuses on a niche market worldwide where large providers do not have airtime routes, allowing all pre-sold purchases to be passed on to the retail client at the beginning and guaranteeing an exit date. There's a good chance that you're already making VoIP calls any time you place a long distance call.

Phone companies use VoIP to streamline their networks. By routing thousands of phone calls through a circuit switch and into an IP gateway, they can seriously reduce the bandwidth they're using for the long haul. Once the call is received by a gateway on the other side of the call, it's decompressed, reassembled and routed to a local circuit switch. Although it will take some time, you can be sure that eventually all of the current circuit-switched networks will be replaced with packet-switching technology.

IP telephony makes sense, in terms of both economics and infrastructure requirements. More and more businesses are installing VoIP systems and the technology will continue to grow in popularity as it makes its way into our homes. Perhaps the biggest draws to VoIP for the home users that are making the switch are price and flexibility.
