3 Day Startup NYC Opens Application for Summer 2014 Program

MANHATTAN, N.Y. - June 10, 2014 - PRLog -- The New York City chapter of 3 Day Startup (3DS NYC), a global non-profit organization teaching entrepreneurial skills to students and young professionals, announced Tuesday they are accepting applications for its Summer 2014 program July 25-27.

40 students and young working professionals from various academic majors will be accepted into the intensive three-day program, during which participants work with professional mentors to help participants develop strong startup ideas and pitch their prototypes to a panel of investors Sunday night of the program.

The Spring 2014 program in New York City received 102 applications and accepted 52 students. Demand for the six year old organization has grown due to its track record teaching startup hopefuls what it takes to turn an idea into a company.  3DS NYC seeks passionate individuals with a great startup idea or motivation to apply their skill sets to a team formed during the program. The organization also announced Tuesday they will be partnering with Bitcoin Center NYC this summer.  The partners agreed to devote two startup teams to pitching and working on digital currency or bitcoin related tech startups.“We are so excited to be partnering with Bitcoin Center NYC this summer and learning from them on how we can best work with digital currency startups in the future” said Desiree Frieson, lead organizer for 3DS NYC.
