Distracted driving continues to be the number one cause for car collisions in the U.S. Michael is one of many Allstate agents who work to spread the message of teen safe driving. The Allstate Foundation has been holding a teen-led Act Out Loud contest since 2008. This year 220 teams across the country held rallies to compete for the grand prize of $10,000. Act Out Loud encourages youth across the country to take action to help keep what teens value most – friends, freedom, and fun. The contest focuses on promoting awareness of the three primary causes of teen crash fatalities: speeding, lack of seatbelt usage, and distractions.

The Allstate Foundation awards more than $1 million every year to nonprofit organizations across the country in honor of dedicated Allstate agency owners who give back. To be eligible for nomination, Allstate agency owners must volunteer, mentor or lead a nonprofit of their choice.
