FSI Council launch the Hub an industry network that brings food suppliers and buyers together

LONDON - June 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Food companies, food distributors and equipment manufacturers are invited to apply for a listing to a new online directory called the 'Hub' that will link them to chefs, caterers, food service operators, catering managers and facility managers in a UK network to share innovations, product knowledge, contact information, industry issues, news, opinion and recruitment opportunities.

The directory is an extension of the existing facilities that the FSI Council provides to its members, commenting on the launch of the Hub, Jeremy Rowan, Head of Communications at the FSI Council said, "The Hub will fill an online resource that has been missing from the industry, whilst the FSI Council has been and continues to host events and thought leadership initiatives that bring our members together to learn and share experiences the 'Hub' will provide immediate 24/7 access to a whole raft of operational information to those that join".

For those looking for locally or nationally sourced ingredients from artisan bakeries to fresh seafood, commercial ovens or freezers or even commercial kitchen design the Hub will offer full contact details, information, endorsements and recommendations from industry sources.

Rowan says, "The information and content on the Hub will cover existing stock and inventory supplies, plus restaurant, eating and consumer trends from across the UK, Europe and the USA. Most importantly it will save time and money for existing and new members seeking new suppliers from trusted and approved companies".

After registering and then receiving FSI Council approval users will be able to access the Hub network of suppliers, by geographical location, product category, source of origin, hygiene policy, accreditations and certifications at the touch of a button.

"The ability to source locally has been one of the main aspects in establishing the Hub", says Rowan, "members will also have the ability to promote their own company through the Hub and have online contact with prospective buyers and providers".
