MANCHESTER, U.K. - June 10, 2014 - PRLog -- TATOC, the Timeshare Association, is delighted to announce that the popular and much admired timeshare resort, La Quinta at La Manga, has become a member of the association.

Widely regarded as one of the finest multi-ownership clubs in Europe, La Quinta Club is situated in the heart of La Manga Club on the Costa Calida in south-eastern Spain.

Opened in 1986 and nestling in tropical gardens on a hillside above the par 47-pitch and putt course, the five-star La Quinta Club offers 46 luxury two and three-bedroom air conditioned linked villas.

Built in the traditional Andalucian style, the villas look out towards the Mar Menor inland sea, one of the most spectacular views in the Mediterranean.

Located at the centre of the Club is the private heated swimming pool with its own pool bar and clubhouse available for guests to enjoy the in-house entertainment and evening functions or pre-dinner drinks before visiting one of the many nearby restaurants.

La Manga Club has three golf courses, two of which are championship courses; a pitch and putt course; near the Mar Menor which offers water sports facilities and a secluded Mediterranean cove with a seasonal restaurant for visitors to the resort.

The tennis centre, recently chosen by the Lawn Tennis Association as its winter training ground, has 28 tennis courts, squash facilities, a superbly equipped gymnasium with spa, a bowling green and a highly acclaimed mini club for children from two to 12 years of age.

The resort is within easy walking distance of the tennis centre and the commercial centres of Bellaluz, La Plaza and Las Sabinas.

Committee chairman, Philip Duncan, explained why the Club decided to join TATOC: “La Quinta is a well established club with approximately 1,100 members, the majority of whom return each year. We hope that by working with TATOC we will be able to learn more about rental and sales opportunities available to mature resorts.”

TATOC CEO Harry Taylor added: “It is great news when a club as successful as La Quinta Club joins the association and I hope that we can work together to help then achieve their goals. We have plans in place that will help them learn more about tackling rental and sales opportunities and there will be more news on this in the coming months.”

The Timeshare Association (Timeshare Owners and Committees), known as TATOC, was formed 25 years ago and is the only elected consumer association representing the interests of timeshare owners in Europe.

The mission of TATOC is to safeguard and enhance the timeshare holiday experience for existing and prospective users and to be the voice of owners. In recent years, TATOC has focused not only on increasing the membership base but also raising the profile of the Association, establishing TATOC as the recognised voice of the timeshare consumer and an informed point of contact.

The Association is now a regular contributor to the consumer press and works closely with the UK’s Trading Standards offices, law enforcement and other authorities. TATOC CEO Harry Taylor is regularly interviewed on national radio and features in the industry press.
