“We’re adding a 5-lane swimming pool, a teaching pool with a moveable floor, a full court gymnasium, a state of the art fitness center, a 200 seat auditorium and more to the greater community,” said Maron, of Dobbs Ferry. An early Fall groundbreaking is anticipated.
The JCC on the Hudson, located in Tarrytown and serving Yonkers, the Rivertowns and beyond, has been part of the community for 85 years, and is as relevant today as it was when it opened its doors in 1929. Last year, the JCC provided nearly 400 hours of counseling, educational workshops, and referral services; daily childcare programs for more than 200 children; day camp for 350 children; social and recreational programming for more than 500 adults and seniors, and programming for more than 150 family members with developmental disabilities.
