The annual event recognizes and honors the professional accomplishments of community leaders, as well as to identify positive role models for the region’s young people. Junior Achievement identifies laureates based on their business acumen and community spirit.
“I am very honored by this recognition from Junior Achievement of Delaware Valley,” said Mr. Gravina. “The fundamental characteristics that they instill in our youth, like encouraging entrepreneurship and building business skills and ethics, will lead the young people in their program to greater success and will ultimately benefit the Philadelphia region.”
Paul Kappel, President of JADV said “We are honoring Thomas Gravina as he is a great example of the ideals we try to instill in the students in our programs. Junior Achievement is unique in its ability to help kids K through 12 learn about and appreciate the free enterprise system and all of its aspects of capital formation, risk and reward, job creation, hard work, teamwork and leadership.”
Proceeds from the annual black-tie dinner and awards ceremony benefit Junior Achievement's efforts to empower young people to own their economic success.
