By: Information Security Forum

NEW YORK - June 10, 2014 - PRLog -- According to the Information Security Forum (http://www.securityforum.org) (ISF), a global, independent information security body considered the world's leading authority on cyber security and information risk management, cyberspace offers enormous benefits and opportunities through increased innovation, collaboration, productivity, competitiveness and customer engagement. But hardly a day goes by without news of a new cyber threat, or major data breach, arising from ‘malspace’ – an online environment inhabited by hacker groups, criminal organizations and espionage units.

Cyberspace is constantly evolving and presenting new opportunities, as the desire of businesses to quickly adopt new technologies, such as using the Internet to open new channels and adopting cloud services, provides massive opportunities. But, cyberspace also brings unanticipated risks and inadvertent consequences that can have a potentially negative impact. With cyberspace so critical to everything, from supply chain management to customer engagement, holding back adoption or disconnecting from cyberspace completely is simply not realistic. But the commercial, reputational and financial risks that go with cyberspace presence are real and growing each and every day.

During this webcast, Steve Durbin, Managing Director of the ISF, will share insight into how organizations can identify what the business relies on most and provide tips on quantifying the business case to invest in cyber resilience, therefore minimizing the impact of unforeseen incidents. Please register via this link (https://www.brighttalk.com/webcast/9923/96439) for the free webcast which takes place on Tuesday, June 17 at 9 a.m. (ET). A recording will be available following the conclusion of the event.
