EDINBURGH, Scotland - June 9, 2014 - PRLog -- Omni Taverns is pleased to announce that they have acquired Tusitala Restaurant and the Pavilion bar in Fairmilehead in Edinburgh in a confidential off market sale. The current venue has been owned and run by Jim and Margaret Wilkie for 24 years and is a popular venue in the south side of Edinburgh. Omni Taverns took over today Monday 9th June 2014 and will close the venue for 3 days and re-launch the restaurant as CHARWOOD on Thursday 12th June 2014. The bar will remain closed for a further week and will reopen on Thursday 19th June after a complete refurbishment.
“We are delighted with our new business and looking forward to launching Charwood. As soon as it was proposed to us, we instantly wanted to do a deal as it is a great venue that we already knew very well” said Anne Still, Director of Omni Taverns.

The new venue CHARWOOD will specialize in cooking with charcoal and wood and will have a wood burning pizza oven and is installing a Josper grill so expect a great selection of dry rubbed steaks as well as the fabulous range of pizzas. Focusing on the local community and the wider Edinburgh market, it will welcome all family generations and aims to build on the already great reputation and loyalty that Tusitala has built up over the years.
