JOHANNESBURG - June 9, 2014 - PRLog -- Samsung Electronics South Africahas recently launched the Food ShowCase refrigerator (FSR), a premium product and the latest in new era kitchen innovation. It provides for optimum use of space and delivers unparalleled organisation to help make family life easier.

ShowCase for instant access of frequently used food items

The ShowCase, which opens only the exterior door of the refrigerator, makes organising and retrieving food as easy as possible for every member of the household. Once opened, consumers can find what they are looking for with one simple glance. There are multiple customisable food compartments within the ShowCase for sauces, drinks, snacks and more. Divided into three zones, each compartment could hold the following items depending on the needs of the family:

·         The Cooking Zone (upper level) – cheese and sauces;

·         The Family Zone (mid-level) – drinks and snacks; and

·         The Kids Zone (lower level) – food items accessible to younger children.

Separating the fridge into zones allows for effective organising and creates the ability to find food items more easily. The Kids Zone, for example, at the lowest level provides easy access for children. Additionally, the lower cases are detachable and can be placed directly on the table, further enhancing convenience.

The ShowCase also features a metal cooling door that effectively keeps cold air within the refrigerator, allowing for faster temperature recovery. In the case of a power failure, the door will also preserves the cold temperature up to 12% longer than a conventional door.

InnerCase for preserving food

The InnerCase is ideal for food items such as vegetables, meat and fruit. Unlike conventional refrigerators with a single cooling outlet for both the freezer and refrigerator, Samsung's innovative All-Around Cooling evenly reaches every inch of the fridge, as well as the freezer. Cold air is distributed through multiple outlets at every shelf level. As a result, the refrigerator area keeps fruit and vegetables fresher for longer, whilst the freezer reduces freezer burn to maintain the quality of frozen food.

Cooling performance is improved thanks to technology that automatically adjusts the digital invertor compressor, in response to cooling demands. This functionality means more energy saving, less noise and a more durable appliance. It also comes with a 10-year warranty for additional peace of mind.

Ice and water dispenser offers a convenient way to stay refreshed

With an elegant stainless steel finish and clear display, users can, at the touch of a button, enjoy a refreshing glass of chilled filtered water or fill a pitcher with cubed or crushed ice. The Ice Master is built into the door, delivering valuable extra space by freeing up two additional shelves. The detachable Ice Case is also a freezer drawer that can store frozen items or be quickly removed and used to serve ice without the need for a separate bowl.
