Multi – language screen capture annotation

The Full Unicode Support in this version makes it possible to add annotations in multiple languages simultaneously. Past versions of Easy Screen Capture did support up to two languages (alphabets) simultaneously, while version 3 removes this limit completely. For example Chinese, Japanese, Latin, Cyrillic and other languages can be used together in the same project to add annotations and call-outs.

Transparent screen capture when using Aero themes

Complete transparency support is provided in Windows 7 and Windows Vista - support for the Windows Aero themes. Any transparent regions inside the windows will be included along with the transparent frame. The shadow effect of the Windows Vista and Windows 7 is also included in the cpatured images. Using the context menu "Layer->Save as…" layers can be saved directly as PNG files or multiple transparent layers can be grouped together and saved to a file format that supports transparency. This is made possible due to the new canvas setting which provides an option to make the background transparent.

Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 - Improved screen capture compatibility

The captured themed round windows now look smooth and polished. On systems that do not display shadow effects, it can be added using the layer context menu. Keyboard conflicts and issues related to lost settings in newer windows versions are removed.

Free screen capture hosting by PhotoBucket  – share screenshots instantly by using the one button click upload

Easy Screen Capture And Annotation provides free screenshot and instant capture upload to PhotoBucket. Create and activate your image hosting account using the free signup button inside the application. Uploading and sharing the captured screenshots requires just a single buton click. Capture any screen region, add annotations, arrows, highlights and hit the “Upload to PhotoBucket” button. The captured image is uploaded automatically and the link to the image is copied to the clipboard. You can easily paste it in instant messaging applications like Skype, AOL, MSN Chat, Google Chat or share it on Facebook, Google Plus or other social networks. Additional fixes and improvements that are not worth mentioning are also applied to this functionality.

Screen captures with transparent background and alpha channel

Version 3.0.0.0 provides options to export projects with transparent background. This new feature works only when exporting to formats that support transparency like PNG. The feature can be activated in the canvas settings dialogue.

Additional screen capture improvements

This is a major release and it includes a lot of new features and improvements. The most important ones are included in the application’s What’s New List. Some of them that are worth mentioning are the new capture tool button and tray icon. The tool button and tray icon can now be used to perform the last capture operation. Single mouse click with the left mouse button will start the last used capture mode, while double click will display the main application window. The tray icon also displays short information regarding the selected capture mode and how to use it. The selected capture mode can be switched by right-clicking the tray icon and using the popup menu that is displayed.
