Guest Lecture by Mr. Rahul Jain – Senior Manager HR at Philips India

AHMEDABAD, India - June 9, 2014 - PRLog -- The Corporate Resource Cell Team at Rai University, Ahmedabad invited Mr. Rahul Jain as a guest lecturer to speak about the corporate world and the career opportunities students can explore after the completion of degree in HR.

Mr. Rahul Jain holds rich industry experience of 13 years as a Senior HR in Philips India. Over the span of time, he has performed varied roles and handled lot many difficult tasks.  Right from Plant HR roles from operational to strategic level he has experienced it all. Apart from possessing international work experience, employment law and practices knowledge of APAC region, he has worked with diversified workforce of various nationalities.

The session was attended by all the MBA students. Mr. Rahul Jain delivered lecture on topic ‘To use Social Media for Professional Advantages (Job Search and Career Progression)’. Since social media nowadays plays a significant in our life, it also proves beneficial when we prepare for a bright career in the respective field. The lecture comprehensively covered various aspects like background of Social Media and the significant its role, use of Social Media by Organization and useful tips on social media sites. In addition, topics interesting topics like facts about social media, side effects of social media, among others were also discussed. Basically, the main idea was to help students stay updated and connected with the intricacies related to the corporate world. It was a very interesting and resourceful session, all thanks to Mr. Rahul Jain.
