FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. - June 8, 2014 - PRLog -- Animal Rights Foundation of Florida and Animal Aid Inc. present Cocktail Party for Strays on Tuesday, June 10th, 2014 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm hosted by Sublime Restaurant & Bar in Fort Lauderdale.  A $39 donation will include wine and appetizers, vegan hors d’oeuvres, as well as a voucher for the spay or neuter of a stray cat.  The voucher can be redeemed during Spay Day at Sublime when the Animal Aid mobile unit will be located at the restaurant’s parking lot on Thursday, June 12th from 9 am to 5 pm.  The voucher may also be given to someone else that feeds feral cats or donated back to Spay Day at Sublime.

Animal Aid Inc. strives to rescue as many dogs and cats as their manpower and donations allow.  Its volunteers fight an uphill battle each day with limited resources, trying to improve the odds of stray and unwanted animals throughout South Florida.  “Sadly, more than 15 million animals are put down in shelters throughout the U.S. each year,” says Animal Aid Inc. president Tamera DeMello.  “South Florida is one of the largest contributors to this tragedy; free and affordable spay/neuter programs, along with public education is key to success.”
