Maurice helps lobby on behalf of the firm’s Fortune 500 national and international clients. He also specializes in advocacy campaigns in support of defense, aerospace, transportation, technology, hospitality, nonprofits, and trade clients and is a lobbyist in Washington, DC as well as Dallas, Texas. Before joining DG Group, LLP, Maurice worked as a major strategic consultant for various organizations and companies in the U.S. He also served on a strategic capacity to the political campaign teams of George W. Bush for Governor and during W. Bush’s presidential campaign. Maurice has served as International Liaison to the Governor of Texas on boarder relations issues. During this time, Maurice represented the Office of the Governor of Texas before the International NAFTA Council on a variety of issues including homeland defense, disaster relief, and counter-drug operations. Maurice served under Vicente Fox of Mexico as a Senior Advisor for International Affairs at the U.S. Mexico Trade Relations Council in support of the U.S.-Mexico trade and foreign policy priorities. He also served as a key interlocutor between the State Department and Mexico’s Chancellery foreign affairs teams, regularly working with White House and the National Security Council. Before joining the Fox Administration, Maurice worked as National Chairman of the Council for a Republican Congress, an organization founded by Jack Kemp in 1992 focused on identifying viable candidates for congress and assisting with financing their campaigns to gain majority in congress. Maurice Aguirre is an admiral of the Texas Navy as appointed by then Governor George W. Bush and ratified twice by Governor Rick Perry. Maurice Aguirre received his Master of Arts from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of the Incarnate Word. He lives in DC and Dallas with his wife, and their three beagles. End
