A-1 Self Storage Proudly Supports the Lupus Foundation of Northern California

SAN JOSE, Calif. - June 6, 2014 - PRLog -- A-1 Self Storage, the premier provider of self storage in San Jose, CA, announced today their monetary donation to the Lupus Foundation of Northern California. The Lupus Foundation of Northern California (LFNC) was founded in 1978 in San Jose.  The organization was organized in response to the lack of awareness about the little-understood, yet devastating illness called lupus. Lupus is an acute and chronic, inflammatory disease that, for unknown reasons, causes the immune system to become hyperactive and attacks the body’s own healthy tissues and organs.  Lupus can be difficult to diagnose because symptoms mimic other diseases.  Presently, there is no cure for lupus. However, with early diagnosis and current methods of therapy, 80-90% of lupus patients can look forward to a normal lifespan.
