WMGNA Congratulates the Eighth Recipient on the Alan L. Beck Memorial Scholar-Athlete Award!

BLOOMFIELD, Conn. - June 6, 2014 - PRLog -- The Wealth Management Group of North America, LLC (WMGNA) has honored Kemani-Malik Hume with the Alan L. Beck Memorial Scholar-Athlete Award. The $1,000 scholarship is awarded as a result of a student’s demonstrated excellence in both academics and athletics during his or her tenure at Bloomfield High School.

Kemani’s dedication to excellence earned him a total of six awards at Bloomfield High School’s Awards Night showing that a positive attitude and hard work pay off.  This star student is heading out to the American International College in Springfield, MA on a full scholarship and plans to run on their track and field team. Congratulations Kemani!

Alan L. Beck was a resident and attorney of Bloomfield for 35 years before his death in December of 2000. He was extremely active in many of Bloomfield’s Youth sports programs, a guest lecturer to many high school classes and a familiar face at all of the athletic events. WMGNA and the Beck Family hope that winners of this award will step forward confident in their success and return to the Bloomfield community with an intention to pay it forward.
