June 6, 2014 - PRLog -- For a whole bunch of summer evenings the 35 members of the South Eastern Michigan Bowling Centers Association (http://www.sembca.com/) will join many, many other community-minded sponsors to host free Park-It Family Fun Nights in parks throughout the metro Detroit area.

From Royal Oak to Richmond, from New Baltimore to Detroit, kids and their families will play games and visit booths to get free giveaways from the sponsors. Additionally, there’ll be face painting, a bounce-house – and a live band as well. It’s a terrific and, did we say “free,” way for families to spend an early summer evening. It’ll end with the screening of a top-rated – and very recent – family movie… and will all be over by bedtime for the kids.

SEMBCA’s mascot, Pin Pal will be present to greet families, and members will even have a page in the Park-It Family Fun Nights coloring book – which will include a special offer as well.

Park-It events begin June 13 and continue through August 28. Full details on dates and locations can be found on the Member Events calendar at www.SEMBCA.com or visit www.Parkitforfun.com.

About the South East Michigan Bowling Centers Association

The more than 35 bowling centers in Southeast Michigan, from Sterling Heights to South Lyon, are dedicated to raising awareness, promoting participation and enhancing the bowling experience for everyone. Joined together as SEMBCA, its members know that bowling is the only sport where everything required for participation – balls, pins, shoes and refreshments – is available onsite and year-round. For more than 50 years the members of SEMBCA have strived to reach out to the local community by providing charitable fund-raising opportunities, corporate employee involvement and wholesome family fun for all ages. Bowling can also be educational, with more than 20 million kids under 17 bowling each year and many going on to the 250 colleges and universities that offer bowling as a sport, with some even benefitting from the $6 million in college bowling scholarships.
