Governor Chris Christie Reappoints Eric Marcy to Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital Board

WOODBRIDGE, N.J. - June 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Eric John Marcy (http://www.wilentz.com/eric-john-marcy), a shareholder with the New Jersey-based law firm of Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A., has been re-appointed by Governor Chris Christie to serve on the Board of Trustees of the Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital. Marcy was first appointed to the Board by Governor James McGreevey in 2004, reappointed to the Board by Governor Richard J. Codey in 2006, and Governor Jon Corzine in 2008. Marcy is currently serving as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital for the 2013-2014 term. Marcy previously served as Vice Chair 2004-2005 and Chair for the years 2005-2012. Marcy has also served on the Middlesex County Mental Health Board (1989-1993) and the Morris County Mental Health Board (1994-1997) and served as Chair of the Morris County Mental Health Board in 1997. Then Freeholder Director Chris Christie previously appointed Marcy to the Morris County Mental Health Board in 1997.

Marcy’s duties as a trustee include reviewing fiscal matters, overseeing welfare funds used for patient needs, reviewing institutional needs, and making recommendations with regard to programs, services, lands, building and equipment. Members of the Board are volunteers who do not receive compensation for their service.

Greystone is a psychiatric hospital located in Morris Plains, NJ serving patients from seven North Jersey counties on a campus that dates back to 1876. A state of the art, new hospital, was constructed and opened in 2008. It is one of four psychiatric facilities throughout the state that make up the Division of Mental Health within the Department of Human Services.
