Bradford Logistics Firm Moves to Expand

Burnett Street and transfers to larger premises in Cleckheaton this month. The move will enable Sabre to continue to grow and expand their target market beyond West Yorkshire.

Sabre has taken over a spacious Victorian Villa on Whitcliffe Road, Cleckheaton. Following a six month refurbishment programme, the former insurance underwriters’ premises now provides state of the art offices for Sabre’s expanding team.

Earlier this year, Sabre appointed Josie Swales, 35, as financial controller, followed in April by the appointments of import manager Lisa Kirby, 45, and twenty-five-year-old sales manager Ross Harrison. The latest addition to the Sabre team will be an apprentice who is set to join them next month.

Launched by managing director Lee Meadowcroft in December 2010, Sabre has enjoyed rapid growth, doubling its annual turnover to £5.1m in the past twelve months.

Lee, 33, spent fifteen years working for some of the region’s top logistics organisations before launching Sabre. He puts the firm’s success down to an honest, responsive, personal service and the ability to adapt quickly in a sector which can be heavily influenced by weather, legislation and volatile freight rates.
