PRLog - Jun. 5, 2014 - MONTEREY, Calif. -- In partnership with community supporters, this year, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County (BGCMC) will be presenting scholarships to five deserving Monterey County youth to further their education. The scholarships to be awarded include The Great Futures Scholarship, The Give Back Brands Scholarship, The Marilyn Kirby Scholarship, two Club Blue Summer Enrichment Scholarships, and The Barbara Ann Hawkins Memorial Scholarship from the Seaside Rotary Club.
Community Breakfast 2014
The scholarship recipients will be announced at the BGCMC Annual Community Breakfast held at the Seaside Clubhouse on Thursday, June 19, 2014. The breakfast is held to honor special community supporters and to update the community on recent achievements and positive outcomes for our youth.

About Community Breakfast
BGCMC Seaside Community Breakfast will be held at the Seaside Club house Thursday June 19th. Breakfast begins promptly at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 8:45 a.m. Reservations are $20.00 per individual, and table sponsorships are available. Guests are encouraged to register online at www.bgcmc.org/

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County (BGCMC) has played an integral role in the community for 45 years. With Clubhouses in Seaside and Salinas, BGCMC provides youth between the ages of 6-18 an afterschool safe haven where they are mentored to achieve academic success, acquire healthy lifestyles, and develop good character and citizenship. Over 95% of the total budget comes from generous individuals, corporations and foundations. The Clubs are open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. during summer and school breaks, and from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. when school is in session.
