GO! ASERO Kickstarter Campaign Has Begun

LONDONDERRY, N.H. - June 5, 2014 - PRLog -- The Association for Small Engine Repair & Operation (www.asero.org) not only has an online learning system (also known as the ASERO OLS) where individuals can receive their Small Engine Certification online, but also has a program called “Go!  ASERO,” where everyone can help to build the curriculum that the ASERO OLS offers while also helping those who become certified become employed!

Currently the ASERO OLS offers a Basic Small Engine Technician course, but they are looking to expand the curriculum to offer a minimum of 21 additional courses.  The best part about the system is the cost.  At a one-time fee of $25 for a one year membership, and a one-time fee of only $25 for any basic courses, it’s affordable to anyone.  Advanced courses will be only $45, and Master courses will be only $75.  ASERO also has their Employment Services Department, which will essentially work as a staffing company and be free to anyone who has been certified, to help them garner employment.  This service will also be free to ASERO certified companies to list any positions they have available, and to help them fill those positions with qualified candidates who have been certified by ASERO.

ASERO is seeking $10,000 in donations to build out the course and curriculum offerings for the Online Learning System through working with already established master small engine technicians, and having them become online tutors within the OLS system.  By doing so, ASERO can truly help their students acquire an affordable education, and build up certifications that can give them an opportunity to further their career in the small engine industry.  ASERO will also use a small amount of the donated money to help establish a live training location, which will be an actual working small engine shop that will help give students the experience of working in an actual shop while still functioning much like a school.  The value here will be to teach students the more complex lessons, and small engine services, that would be difficult to accomplish in an online arena.  Lastly, ASERO will use some of this money to help build out their employment services division into a functioning staffing agency to help their certified students become employed with companies who will be eager to work with them.
