A former musician, Advertising Agency owner and professional motor racing driver and team owner, Gianluca is best known these days within the sport of professional boxing.

His career in the Boxing world began at the invitation of legendary Heavyweight Champion of the World Smokin’ Joe Frazier, Gianluca went on to market World stars such as two time Cruiserweight Champion of the World Steve ‘USS’ Cunningham as well as major Championship boxing events in the USA before returning to London, England in 2009.

On his return to the UK Gianluca’s first task was the marketing of former Inter-Continental Cruiserweight Champion Bruce ‘Lionheart’ Scott for his appearance in the hugely popular Matchroom Sport ‘Prizefighter’ series.

Further boxer marketing projects followed, before in 2010 Gianluca partnered with one of the UK’s top coaches and manager Johnny Eames at the TRAD TKO Boxing Gym in Canning Town, London, where he marketed the famous East End fight factory’s 45 strong stable of boxers.

Besides the marketing of the gym’s stable of boxers Gianluca also created and operated TKO Box Office, a boxing event ticketing service, as well as created a range of boxing equipment bearing the
TKO London name.

More recently Gianluca and Johnny created TRAD TKO Events, to promote boxing events both in the UK and Internationally, with Johnny as the promoter and Gianluca undertaking the marketing of the events as well as day to day running operations.

In 2011, at the request of the European Boxing Union Gianluca co-founded the Malta Boxing Commission, the official professional boxing sanctioning organization for the Islands of Malta in the
Mediterranean.

The Malta Boxing Commission became recognized world-wide as the official sanctioning organization for professional boxing in the Republic of Malta.

As such Malta Boxing Commission are responsible for the development professional boxing in the Republic of Malta, to license professional boxers, trainers, managers and promoters.

In October 2011 Gianluca became Marketing Director for the World Boxing Federation, a role that see him actively involved not just in the marketing of the organization but also the promotion of
Championship boxers once again.

In June 2013 Gianluca left the WBF in order to take up the role of Marketing Director for boxing promotional company Acourtier Events, which operates alongside TRAD TKO Events, but on events
sanctioned by either Malta Boxing Commission or the German Boxing Association.

Acourtier Events is a United Kingdom based boxing promotions organisation, dedicated to creating quality Championship boxing events as well as the development of future stars.

Acourtier Events have nurtured a close working relationship with various World Sanctioning organizations, such as the IBF, IBO, WBF, WBU and WIBA for the purpose of securing elite boxers from their ranks to take part in World, Inter-Continental and International Championship bouts at their events.

In addition to attracting elite boxers from around the globe for their events, Acourtier Events are also actively developing their own squad of elite boxers, to this end they have a policy of signing former elite amateur stars, as well as exceptional young talents from the UK and overseas - both male and female

In October 2013 Gianluca returned to the Championship sanctioning realm, by joining forces with World Boxing Union President Don Lewis to create WBU-Europe, with the express purpose of enhancing the presence of WBU World Championship Boxing within Europe, as well as the development of the WBU European Championship.

The World Boxing Union has a long and glorious history of sanctioning World, Inter-Continental and International Championship fights, over the years many of Europe’s top stars have been crowned WBU Champion, such as Ricky Hatton, Tony Oakey, Graham Earl, George Kandelaki, Wayne Alexander, Matt Skelton, Enzo Maccarinelli, Toncho Tonchev, Michele Piccirillo, Norbert Nieroba

With such a historical wealth of global experience that the World Boxing Union possesses will ensure that events sanctioned, within Europe, by WBU-Europe are of the highest possible standard.

In 2014, in order to compliment both the Malta Boxing Commission National Championship and the established World Boxing Union Championships, Gianluca joined forces with former promoter and
manager Richard Hone, Chairman of the Michigan Athletic Commission Al Low, two time Heavyweight Champion of the World Tim Witherspoon, two time, two division Champion of the World Steve Collins, Cruiserweight Champion of the World Vinnie Curto, top German Referee Alf Sprung, Malta Boxing Commission Permanent General Secretary Marc James and professional female boxer Marianne Marston to  create the MBC International Championship.

From day one, the MBC International Championship was created as an open championship, as such is not limited to any one region or country, but available to be competed for by boxers from any
Country and at any location World-wide.

The MBC International Championship provides promoters a cost effective Championship for their events, as well as provide upcoming boxers an opportunity to compete for a high profile International Championship accolade, which will not just raise their profile but also move them up the rankings and into a position where they become eligible to compete for major titles.
