Freemont Foundation Hosts Cocktails for a Cause Event

ATLANTA - June 3, 2014 - PRLog -- Atlanta, Georgia, May 17, 2014:  The James M. and Erma T. Freemont Foundation hosted a meet and greet cocktail event in downtown Atlanta, Georgia to raise funds for student scholarships and college prep training.

Dr. James M. Freemont, OB/GYN dedicated his life to helping others.  He delivered over 8,000 babies during his long and distinguished medical career in Atlanta, Georgia.  Dr. Freemont had a passion for learning that he translated into various volunteer and philanthropic activities. He served as Medical Director at South Fulton Medical Center, faculty member at the Morehouse School of Medicine, National Alumni President of his beloved undergraduate alma mater, Southern University, and he held numerous other leadership positions in civic and community organizations over the past 40 years.

The Foundation is committed to continuing his service and keeping his vision alive by supporting students studying for science and health care professional careers.

The Freemont Foundation also announced its next major event, the “Represent Yourself 5K Walk/Run” to be held in Atlanta, Georgia’s Piedmont Park on September 7, 2014.  The event is open to the public and is family friendly.
