PRLog -- Equicapita Income Trust (“Equicapita”)
is pleased to announce the payment of its distribution for the first quarter of 2014 in respect of its Preferred Trust Units.
Equicapita is a private equity buyout fund based in Calgary, Alberta. The fund is focused on acquiring private, western Canadian businesses with enterprise values ranging from $5 million to $20 million. The fund is an RRSP eligible investment vehicle that streams the cash flow from private operating companies to its investors on a priority basis. Equicapita recently acquired Levy’s Machine Works and Metercor. Stephen Johnston, one of the co-founders of Equicapita, stated “We are pleased to make our quarterly distribution payment to our investors and we believe our recent acquisitions give us additional robust cash flow coverage for these payments in the future.”
