Dr. William Lee, General and Bariatric Surgeon
“Dr. Lee is an experienced general and bariatric surgeon who is well-liked by the patients he’s cared for over the years and will provide excellent care for our community,” commented Kirk Stensrud, CEO of Glacial Ridge Health System. “We are very fortunate to have the caliber of committed physicians and staff that we do and we are enthusiastic to have added surgical weight loss and follow-up care to our region – a service that isn’t available nearby.”
Dr. Lee earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa and completed his internship and residency in general surgery from Michigan State University in Kalamazoo, MI.
Completing further training to become certified in adjustable gastric banding and vertical sleeve gastrectomy, he has helped over 700 patients lose weight safely and successfully. He is passionate about the importance of providing follow-up care to all patients and is one of a select group of bariatric physicians who will provide continued aftercare, even to those patients who have had weight-loss surgery performed by another surgeon.
In his free time, Dr. Lee enjoys spending time with his children, playing guitar, working out, playing golf, and cooking. He is originally from Des Moines, IA and joined Glacial Ridge Health System in April 2014.
Free informational surgical weight loss seminars will be provided throughout the region starting this month, including Morris, Long Prairie and Willmar. Visit glacialridge.org/
