GREENVILLE, S.C. - June 2, 2014 - PRLog -- Parents are talking about it. Families are learning from it. Experts are taking notice. Move over, Baby Back. Here comes the Coach!

In ground-breaking training designed for budding singers and other potential musicians, Robert Hoefer, President and CEO of Pitch Doctors and the South Carolina Institute for Vocal Training has introduced a pre-natal course titled, “In-Womb Learning: Voice Lessons for Your Baby.”

"This is an in-the-womb ‘course’ for babies to learn scale patterns and intervals," says Hoefer, known affectionately as "Coach Robert" by his many students. "In incremental learning, the baby hears piano scales and thereby develops an early ear for proper pitch."

Coach Robert cites the teachings of authorities such as Patricia K. Kuhl, professor and co-director of the Institute for Learning & Brain Sciences at the University of Washington and researcher Anthony DeCasper at the University of South Carolina.

Kuhl and DeCasper's studies give strong arguments that appear to prove the existence of prenatal learning.

"I can attest that when my youngest child, Farron, was born, we found proof of early education with her learning of my recorded piano scales in utero,” he said. “We all noticed that she was crying in scale!”

Hoefer has also been encouraged by numerous studies suggesting strongly that in utero training does have these effects.

Coach Robert's lessons are simple enough: The mother sits in a distraction-free room while listening to short lessons of piano scales and intervals. Hoefer suggests that mom listens three times a day all the way through each lesson, which last less than ten minutes each.

"The Suzuki style of musical learning showed us that little ones grasp piano, violin and flute teaching much more easily than anyone previously had imagined,” said Hoefer. “My studies show that as soon as 16 weeks in the mother's womb, little ones can start learning.”

“In-Womb Learning: Voice Lessons for Your Baby” is available as a CD set at Christian bookstores world-wide, with audio available through iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, CD Baby and other online retailers. It is also available for purchase as a downloadable mp3 at www.InWombLearning.com.
