PRLog - June 2, 2014 - BUFORD, Ga. -- For the last seven years, Lake Lanier Islands Resort has partnered with the creative team at Accent Creative Group on the design of its custom publication, Legacy on Lanier Magazine. Legacy on Lanier Magazine Honored with Award of Distinction for Overall Design
The original vision of Lake Lanier Islands’ Chairman of the Board, Virgil Williams, Legacy on Lanier Magazine was launched in 2008 to outline the wealth of accommodations, amenities and activities at the Southern lakeside destination, as well as illustrate its ongoing transformation following the purchase of the resort’s lease by Islands Management Corporation. Williams feels comfortable in the role of publisher, a skill he honed during his previous ownership of the highly revered Georgia Trend Magazine. Accent Creative Group proves the ideal partner for Lake Lanier Islands on this project. Led by Pam Ledbetter – former publisher of Accent Gwinnett Magazine, Accent Creative Group also designs custom publications for Gwinnett Convention & Visitors Bureau, City of Duluth, Johns Creek CVB, and more.
In addition to the 2014 Communicator Awards, Legacy on Lanier Magazine has been recognized by AIVA in the past for its Summer 2011 and 2012 issues. The custom publication has also been honored for design excellence by Magazine Association of the Southeast with several GAMMA Awards. News of the 2014 Communicator Award comes on the heels of the printing of the Summer 2014 Legacy on Lanier Magazine.
“I believe I say this every time we complete a new issue, but I feel this latest edition of Legacy on Lanier Magazine is our best one yet,” insists Stephanie Orr, VP of Sales & Marketing for Lake Lanier Islands Resort. “Through skillfully wrought words and images, it defines us not only as a terrific summer resort, but also as a year-round destination. To keep up with demand this year, we’ve printed 100,000 copies – which will be distributed on-site and to homes and businesses throughout the Southeast. I’d say it’s fairly apparent how much we believe in the power of this publication. It’s a remarkable way to communicate with our fans – current and future – about all of the excitement awaiting them at the Islands. Beyond our readers, we are truly humbled when our magazine is recognized by a panel of industry professionals for its design and content. We can always count on the team at Accent Creative Group to create a world-class product that is an ideal fit for the Lanier Islands brand.”
Virtual issues of each Legacy on Lanier Magazine – as well as its sister publications including Legacy Meetings and Legacy Weddings – are available to view online at www.lakelanierislands.com/
